Cetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine used to treat allergic rhinitis, relieves allergy symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes, and itchy nose or throat and works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction.

Take 1 tablet of Cetirizine every 12 hours and not more than 2 tablets over a 24-hour period and can be taken with or without food or advised by your doctor.

To help avoid interactions with other drugs that you are taking, consult your health care professional. Do not take Cetirizine during pregnancy or while breastfeeding unless on the advice of your doctor.
